Plan a sequence with a beginning, development and purpose.
Define what matters
I ask what viewers should feel or understand at the end. That answer guides the choice of scenes, characters and places. A useful shot list grows from the narrative, not just a desire to display camera moves.
Create continuity
Connecting an establishing shot, an action and a detail helps make a sequence readable. I watch movement direction, light and object positions. In AI work, I also compare outputs to check that spaces and characters remain consistent.
Find the rhythm
Editing combines image, silence, voice and sound. A transition only needs to exist when it adds something. Reviewing the full sequence helps remove repetition and check whether the video directs attention to what matters.
